Alright guys, this is a pretty simple "How to", but I figured I would post it anyways, along with a review on Lamin-x covers. I was referred to Lamin-x from another member on another 4runner website and decided to give them a try.

First, I ordered up the covers and color that I wanted (yellow) and everything came out to around $20 shipped to my door. I got them in 3 days which was pretty impressive, and was also packaged well. www.lamin-x.com

    So now onto the install...

1st, I removed the fog light surrounds. All you need to do is pry them off with your fingers. There are 4 tabs that hold them on.

Next up, I cleaned them up with some glass cleaner. I'm sure rubbing alcohol wipes would work, but this was all I had.

    And all ready for install..

The next step is pretty straight forward. Just peel and stick, making sure there are no air bubbles or creases. The covers are pretty forgiving if you don't get them straight the first few times. Next just pop the cover back on after aligning the tabs.

    Here's the finished fog light!

Now just repeat for the other side.

    Job done!

    Thanks for viewing.:yay:

Anyone know if the black plastic surrounds on the 2018 Fog lights will simply pop off?

I'd like to install yellow laminX without removing the entire fog assembly housing from the truck. Sure would be a lot easier if I could get that fat black plastic piece off first.

You don’t need to remove the covers. There’s a gap between them and the lights that allows you to tuck the film behind the covers. It’s a very thick and forgiving film. Just wet the lights down good and work the film on. Easynpeasy

Hey, I know this is a long shot-- but you don't happen to have the laminX backing sitting in the trash can under your work bench, do you?

I bought a universal install sheet. So I need to cut it to the right diameter. I noticed that the fogs are kind of an angled/elongated sphere. Just kind of an odd shape. Curious to know the actual dimensions that laminX used originally.

Sorry, I sure don’t. I can tell you the shape seemed pretty round if I recall but it did have a little tab on either side that got trimmed after the install

That's kinda what I was wondering- if they're round or oval-ish. Thanks.
