I am more curious what you put in it's place? We just got a 2018 and the radio is pretty decent in my mind so I am wondering what you did that was even better?

The newest Kenwood head unit. It's honestly a give and take if you like the stock head unit like I did but travel as much as I do and need a good GPS the stock head unit isn't the way togo. That's why I made the switch the Kenwood also has apple carplay and Android auto so it works well with most phones. One thing I don't like about the switch is Bluetooth calling still works but you can stream music unless you plug into the wire they installed that leads to the back of my new head unit. You can do you research and try to find a model with completely wireless capabilities but it's not perfected and reviews say they lose connection a lot. I am however in the process of hooking up an apple TV to my new head unit to mirror my phone to it.

does it have NAV? I've seen them for anything from $250 up to $1200, doesn't mean that's what you will get but hey you only need 1 buyer. I have seen a handful of the taco guys that have cracked the screens on these and are looking for replacements, I imaging there are a few 4runner guys out there also.

Thanks and yeah that seems to be the consensus. Either really cheap or 1k area I'll keep my fingers crossed. The stock navigation on those things are a joke.

looking quickly through ebay they are about $600-$800 with some blemishes on the bezel or minor scratches and up to $1200 on ones in really good condition. I guess it comes down to how long you want to sit on it too. GLWS

Considering I just bought it new a couple months ago and there isn't a scratch on it I'll wait it out. Lol

OK cool. That makes sense. This is primarily my wife's runner and its a huge step up for her from the 2003 4r she had. So it will be fine for her. But yeah if it was mine it would need an upgrade like this. My Tacoma has an Insane Audio radio in it and it's pretty sweet but I use a dedicated tablet with Gia Maps and internal GPS for my back country travels. I like the carbon fiber surround. Looks nice!

I'd be interested in just the black bezel if you want to sell that. No need for anything else.

How hard was it to hook the factory backup camera up to this head unit?

I have a Boss BV960N head unit installed in my 2010 Tacoma! Has GPS and Bluetooth for only $250!

Super easy look up a company call maestro for the wires needed.
I would rather sell it whole, it makes it harder to sell separate.

Yes I was referring to the message above yours too. It was super easy a caveman can do it.

I'm actually looking for a screen, but I think I'll just order one from China. Those units are going for way to much money right now.

700$ and it’s yours. I’ll cover shipping. It’s also on EBay if you want to purchase it there. You’ll also find 2 others on there that are sold through a dealer both for 1699. Nothing is wrong with mine I just simply switched it out.
