I would like to keep the 4R until it dies. I've never had a vehicle two years so far, but I love the 4R.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
The last time I looked at one of those sorts of things, they were super expensive and kind of particular about what vehicles they work with. It was even an option to add to my 2020, but as much as I love CDs, not even I could justify spending at least $400 on it, especially when the salesperson couldn't tell exactly how it integrates into the system. I wonder if nobody has ever bought it. I believe the official price was $500, but the salesman offered to knock $100 off. I still couldn't do it. There are cheaper alternatives. I have to pick up one of those current day knockoff Discmans and an FM transmitter.

I want them! Well, mine that is :D I'm going to put it in my will. Nobody gets my CDs! They're mine! Bury me with my CDs, my Dreamcast, and a bunch of games in the coffin! I'll figure out a way to take it all with me :D

I might get another vehicle and add to my FJ and 4Runner, but I wing get rid of it. More likely to move and get a home with a bigger garage.

2 more years and I will qualify for historic plates. I have never come to a maintenance item or repair that exceeded the vehicle cost. Is that what you mean?

Ive got a 1999 Accord, could get historic plates for it, but we still use it year round. Our state limits use during January for historic plates.

The accord maybe hasnt had maintanance that exceeded the value of the car for an individual repair or maintenance item, but it pretty much comes out to what it’s worth. So you either do it yourself, or pay the piper. For example, in the last 4 years, Ive had the timing belt done, hydraulic and hard fuel lines replaced due to corrosion, new sway bar bushings and links, plugs/wires/rotor cap, upper control arms, a new catalytic, and cat back exhaust. I still need to do accessory belts, new coolant hoses, and figure out a leak in the evap system.

If you payed a mechanic for all these things, it wouldnt be worth it. And I have a mechanic that gives me insanely good prices.

The car has rust. It’s worth 1500 bucks maybe on a good day. So every repair feels like its last. But it still drives like new, it truely does.

I am the original owner of a 4th gen. Have zero plans on getting rid of my 2005. Just got done reinventing it, so I'm in love with it again 16yrs later!
