How crowded are the 4X4 trails in the Moab area during August?

Hello. Welcome to my first post on this forum. I’ve been doing a lot of reading on here and finally joined. I bought a bone stock 2019 Off Road Premium about a month ago and am starting to plan the first trip.
I have a couple of questions that I haven’t found an answer for.
First, how crowded are the 4X4 trails around Moab the last half of August?
Not sure I want to go there to be stuck in traffic in town and out on the trails. I can pick an alternate destination if that’s the case. Any suggestions on that alternate destination, if needed, will be appreciated.
I’m researching what mods I’ll need but tires are definitely mandatory. I know this is very subjective but any suggestions for an appropriate A/T tire that’s quiet enough that I won’t have to hear the tires and my wife complaining about the tire noise from the Florida Panhandle to Utah and back?
I appreciate any help y’all can give.
    Thanks

If you can take the heat, I’d go. Fall and Spring are the busiest times of year so you’d probably be fine, although there’s always people who think like you, just less of them.

As for tires, the only ATs I’ve ever run were BFG KO2s. If you’re getting new tires you can upsize a small amount and should be fine. Stock is 265/70 17. I used to be able to get 265/75 17. Just a hair more sidewall. They were quiet enough for me. Enjoy Moab, drive fast and take chances ( or not)!

    Cheers
    Mike

If the tires are loud enough, you won't hear her complaining!!!

We just got back from Moab 3 weeks ago. Cant comment on August but can comment on what we experienced.

The Willow Springs entrance into Arches was empty, we didn't see another vehicle or person on that or Eye of the Whale / Tower Arch trail for 3 consecutive days. Shafer/ Potash and Long Canyon were pretty sparse. Other trails were pretty sparse as well.

Hells Revenge was surprisingly busy (Did that with Richard Mick - Dan Micks son) cause I was told not to be stupid and I had to drive the 4Runner 1200 miles home.

Edit. Drove on new Wildpeak AT4Ws. Quiet on the highway and performed great on the trails.

I've been to Moab twice in August. That statement is pretty accurate. The heat becomes overbearing and there is little you can do about it. Those red rocks soak up the solar heat and it radiates off at night.
