I might pick up a 3rd gen with a 4 cylinder engine. I am wondering how common the engine is? Is the engine only found in 4runners, or is it used in other Toyota vehicles?

I want to say roughly 12% of 3rd Gen 4Runners are 4cyl. They aren't too common, but the parts are still readily available. I'm gonna let you know right now you're going to be lacking quite a bit of power. I had a 3.0 V6 second Gen and it was WEAK. I just used it as a daily driver.
