Hi there my name is Phil. I am from Portland, OR. I have been perusing this forum everyday for a while now without a proper introduction. I purchased my 2017 MGM SR5 4Runner June of 2017. I previously owned a 1999 Silver SR5 before that. I have been doing mods here and there to my 4Runner and haven't posted or shared so I will try to post my pics. Main reason I am on this forum a lot is because my work computer blocks the Toyota-4runner.org forum.

Since the time of purchase these are the following mods that I did
    1. Clear Bra (front end)
    2. Front Window Tint
    3. HID headlights
    4. LED Fog lights
    5. Window Visors
    6. Blacked out badges
    7. K&N Cold Air Intake
    8. Borla Catback Exhaust
    9. LED Interior Lights (Amazon)
    10. "Raptor" Amber Lights in front
    11. Blacked out Roof Racks
    12. Bilstein TRD Pro PTR13-35140 Suspension Swap

I think I covered most of my mods.

My next question is for those experience 4Runner owners is if 285/70/17 would fit on my current setup or am I better off running 275/70/17?

How to you like the K&N air intake? Also how do you like the exhaust? Too noisy? Doesn’t it add any power? I’m looking to getting both for my runner

I can say with confidence that your current suspension will not support the 285's without serious rubbing. Toytec makes a spacer/rear coil lift you can add to your TRD coils which adds 2 inches of lift all around. That's the setup I'm running with 285's but I still had to massage the fender liner and cut the mudflaps a bit.

Thanks for the reply. Ill probably do that to fit 285s.

I have always added a K&N Cold Air Intake to any car that I have owned, it s one of the first things that I do. The borla exhaust is a nice low sound and doesn't attract more attention to you. Power wise I can definitely hear both the air intake and the exhaust kicking in when climbing more steep roads.
