So, my son and I just picked up a sweet 94 , his first ride and he loves it. Quick question if I may.
I have a bare naked roof, no holes no nothing. I want to fab a roof rack> I am looking for advice on mounting. I have seen rigs where holes were drilled into the top and cracked sheet metal followed. Or welded and the sheet metal cracked around the weld. looking for suggestions

Look into plus nuts. Most full length rack manufacturers use them for mounting.

Im working on mine right now and I got thread inserts at Harbor Freights it came in a kit not more than 10 dollars. I had an decent assortment of inserts ,screws and the tool to insert it with. Hope this will help. I understand I like a nice rack on my truck too.
    Good luck.
