I bought my 4Runner last Fall and love it. It's a 4th Gen SR5 4WD V6 and was super clean and stole my heart - I had to have it! I've never been someone who works on their car, however over the past year I've seen on forums like this how relatively easy it is to do some repair jobs on your own vehicle. I've got 2 kids who've purchased their first (cheap) cars and they've needed periodic repairs because of their vehicle's age and mileage. Thanks to forums like this, over the past year I've replaced the VTech Solenoid on my daughter's Honda (saved $700), the fuel pump on my son's Kia (saved $650) and multiple small jobs on my T4R (door catch/hinge, battery, lubed the driveshaft to eliminate the "clunk"). I'm someone who's never even changed the oil on my own rig! It's giving me confidence to do more jobs on my 4Runner like switching out the original shocks/coils to improve the ride and hopefully level it out and eventually swap the spark plugs, and... I just joined this forum and haven't even explored it much yet, but I'm looking forward to learning from you all and enjoying the journey.

BTW, if any of you are in the Seattle area, I'd love to meet up and talk shop!
