Will you be smashing them on rocks, or putting yourself in a position to do so?

If so, ANY of the "true slider" brands will suffice.

If not, just go by what you like the look of, and then eliminate based on prices, availability, coating options etc.

If it's an actual rock slider, they'll do great at what they're designed for. Hefty is well known, and there are a lot of discussions already archived here (and on the other forums) with many pages of us poring over the smaller details.

I have Artec 5G sliders (box/boat/pontoon style made of plate), and while I think they're pretty cool I wouldn't recommend them unless you have someone else do the coating and install.

I have a Hefty front bumper (uninstalled) as well. The welds, steel, workmanship, customer service, shipping, packaging and price are all top notch. Don't hesitate to get Hefty if your only concern is whether or not they live up to their namesake... they will.

    Welcome, and good luck!

Thank you so much. Well, as someone just buying a 21 pro, I’m likely not taking it out day 1 hardcore. However, I prefer to future proof things and buy one correctly the first time rather than thrice the wrong time. I do need it to also function as a step and the vids I’ve watched shows the hefty as sitting a bit closer to the body while remaining a true slider and also being a good step. I tried searching but came up empty with results for these sliders in particular. Thank you !
