    Greetings from Wisconsin!

I acquired a 2013 that needs a lot of attention and I’m thrilled to see all of the helpful information from you folks. It spent all of its years outside in a mature neighborhood and collected lots of debris from park restoration work. I’ve attached an admittedly bad photo, but plan to provide another after some TLC is applied to the baby.

My immediate list of things to do include:
    • Interior thorough detailing: It is completely filthy from dust, leaves, dirt, and has that “common” musty smell. I’m going to check out the moonroof drain tubes (saw the excellent post on this) and may do an AC refreshing. Need to find the source of the issue first.
    • Exterior thorough detailing: There is a dark substance covering many surfaces, which I believe to be sap that shedded from large oak trees. I plan on giving it a vigorous pressure washing, cleaning, and waxing. I only wish that it weren’t so cold outside.
I do not want to turn it into a “grocery getter,” though believe it needs the attention it deserves. Any tips you have to share would be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to learning and sharing more with the community.

I would watch The Car Care Nut's channel on Youtube and follow his advice regarding transmission fluid change, oil change and what to look out for. See his series on the 4Runner. You've just bought a J150 Land Cruiser built in the Tahara Plant. Very well made vehicle. Land Cruisers are built to last and yours is no exception.

Welcome from Clark Co. Wisconsin! You sound like you found an 'uncut' diamond, a little TLC is always a good thing.

Welcome! That's a nice find, the early Trail Editions are cool rigs and not super common.

I have a 2013 Trail as well, in silver. Runs great with almost 150k.

Welcome! As someone going through a similar process- I’ll point out that 99% isopropyl alcohol was the only thing that worked for me at getting the sap up off mine (also clay bar everything after!)
