Had to get a new battery for my F-150, so, I took the old one over to O'Reilly's and found out that the old battery was still under warranty and got the new one for free!

Good News!! I just went to the gas station and gas prices are dirt cheap!! Just under $5.00 a gallon!!

More good news!! Over 76,000 criminals let out of overcrowded prisons. What a great state I live in where rapists, child molesters, burglars, and murderers are given a second chance!! Three hots, a bunk, and a punk are just not good enough for these poor guys.

I um... did another minor alveorplasty in my bathroom, and it was successful!
Also discovered that Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap makes a fine toothpaste when you run out of the real stuff... I might not go back.

I'm also enjoying some more cheap vino, which is directly related to the above. :toast:

Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap is great for everything. I use it to shave, wash my hair, great stuff.

I don’t have a bathtub. I just take a bar down to the lake and bathe.

Got my Patriot back up and running. I was afraid that the transmission was going out in it, but, thankfully it just ended up that the spark plugs needed to be replaced. Thought it was going to be a massive and expensive issue to fix, but instead it ended up being a cheap fix I was able to do in my driveway.

It'll be better when I go to trade it in now too! *laughs*

Just got off of work at my new, crappy, low paying job. I was hired through a contract company (one step up from a day labor agency really) to be a hazmat cleaner, for a major US medical manufacturing plant. They did a bait and switch on the pay, signing me on for half the standard wage for the job. Their "hazmat training" consists of over 40 hours of videos... which they want me to do on MY time, unpaid. They give me a 30 minute lunch, and we don't have refrigerators. This employer has a reputation (that I've been warned about by actual plant employees) for letting hazmat cleaners get horribly injured due to this poor training, and then canning them, claiming they should've known better. This job won't come close to paying the bills, and they already called me in twice on my time off to cover for others who quit. I started a week ago.

The good news? I wanted to work for the actual plant, because they pay well and have good benefits. Well, today I was chatting up a machinist in their shop, and he told me they'd be glad to train me and start me off at double what I'm making now! I told him I was trying to teach myself basic metal working, and was familiar with using 80/20, and he said that should be enough to get me in!

I'll be volunteering to empty the trash in the machine shop until I can talk to the shop foreman, and get that position. Wish me luck, fellas- this is a direct path to learning better methods for making our accessories that I've had in my head, and the financial means of getting my own shop set up.

First road trip in the 4Runner. No problems, quiet and comfortable. 18+mpg on 75mph highways.
Wife is a convert, going from "well, you wanted it" to "I love it !!!". Hmm, on second thought that may not be good news for me.

My brother says that quitting smoking is the easiest thing he has ever done.
In fact, he's quit hundreds of times! :)

I started salt/nic. Very low nicotine level but it’s satisfying.

Not sure. It’s not salty. But yet I haven’t had my usual craving for crab wth salty old bay seasoning.

Nicholas has been nothing more than a little wind and some much needed rain where we are. Glad I’m not in Galveston or down there along the coast.

I gave up the salt nic. It effects you differently makes you real lazy. Back to my usual 6% nicotine vape. Which doesn’t really do anything.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
Being a disabled American vet, I sure appreciate you help. Thank you.
