Nice, I got all three as well. Only the gas struts were on backorder for me though.

I didn’t really care much for the travel stuff, but the shocks i wanted. My current gobi ladder weighs down my stock shocks. So when try to open the back, I pull up on the ladder :annoyed:

Been busy at work during the day and then family and workouts at night. I plan to install it Saturday. If I open the box now, it may clutter the garage and I won’t be a able to access my other rack. The other side of the garage has a parked car o_O

I ordered a Victory full rack on the 17th. It’ll be here Monday 2/1. Great rack (that’s what she said).

Is the Gobi rack really that good or is it just the name people are after? The Victory 4x4 rack looks very similar and has really good reviews. The front runner and Westcott racks have great reviews as well. Why support a company that continually does this? American or not.

Gobi racks are different than the ones you mention. The Gobi's are more of a basket style rack as opposed to the others which are flat racks. Just depends on how you intend to use it.

Took about 4 hours from start to finish. I did it by myself though, other than getting a buddy to help lift the rack up onto the roof.

I definitely did not buy it for the name (honestly will likely take the big “Gobi” sticker off of the fairing). I liked the fact that it was a single piece as opposed to bolt together, and the fact that I can walk up on it or set up a chair and a telescope on it.

I prefer the wind deflector without the Gobi logo showing. Just flipped it over to the blank side. No need to take off the decal.

Ohh rack is on, one buddy showed up like 10pm to help me lift it up. Attached all the bolts. I just need to add the wind deflector. Buddies came and drank and bbq instead

Plan to work on it today after some honey do’s :argue:

    Nicely done!

    Looks fantastic!

Did you add any sealant around the bolt holes?
