They also said there struggling with welders that they can’t find them or have to baby sit them because there not doing good. So that would be great get the rack after waiting a year and a half then all the welds busting out. It’s mig on mild steel a monkey could do it. I’m not sure what the problem is. They gotta have a jig and know all the bends there’s no reason a guy couldn’t weld at least 5a day. And they talk like they have multiple welders but there Facebook and everything is always blowing up with there (adventures) Maby take 5 on that and make and ship some racks. Powder coat should be swamped causing the hold up not welding or anything else for that matter if it wouldn’t be 500 cancellation fee I would abort in in a second

Does anyone know if @Brother708, the OP who popped the cork on this miseryfest, ever got his Gobi rack? He hasn't posted for about a year...

It was delivered about three weeks ago, so as they said after I called them in April. Not happy with how this all turned out (16 weeks promised, 34 weeks actual) and I will not buy from them again, but the rack is good and it looks nice on the 4Runner.

Yeah, I understand. If I were to permanently mount gear on the rack, I'd do the same. But I need something where I can be flexible what I mount where, change stuff around, on the fly add/remove things etc. The mesh with ratchet straps and/or RokStraps works best for me since it is just the most flexible rack in this regard.
