Yeah... I've been a bit more mixed driving after I filled it up from a 1/2 tank, back at a 1/2 again and it's showing 12.6 mpg. I asked the dealer about running a diagnostic report and they said don't waste your money, if anything was wrong I'd be getting some kind of "check engine" light. I'll see how it looks after a couple of tanks. When I bought it a couple of weeks ago the mpg was showing 15.7 mpg... not sure when it was last reset, I probably should have just left it... but... me being me I started fresh!:frustrated:

Getting it out on the highway for some miles at 60mph will probably make the mpg ticker climb. You need those 20+ mpg miles on the clock to balance out that city driving.

When you fill up, write down the mileage. When you fill up the next time, subtract the two numbers and divide by the number of gallons you pumped. That will give you a much better idea of mpg than your gauge at this point.

Do this OP. The easiest way to do it is use your trip odometer (A or B) and reset it every time you fill up. Fuelly is a great way to keep track of your mileage. After you set up an account you can just text the numbers (miles, price per gallon, gallons pumped until full) to it and it will tabulate for you.

I have found the display to be pretty close however, usually only a few decimal points away.

OP, you haven't really commented on your driving style which inclines me to think that you play the pedals heavily. Look at the "ECO" bar on your display and try to keep your throttle position on the left. Drive smoothly, anticipate stops, and coast when you're at speed. When you mash the gas and brake pedals heavily to get around, your mileage will suffer tremendously.

Yep! Driving in town I have trouble keeping the ECO light lit... I working on that... I have been resetting the A trip tracker and writing down how much she takes when I fill it. Need to get out on the highway for a little road trip. Thanks!

Actually, 45-60mph might give you the best mpg? Somewhere around there. But you get my point I think.

I was at 17.9 for the longest time. Now it's 16.9. I'm sure it's just because of lower ambient temps.

I was at 17.4 for my average with the factory C load Dunlops since buying in Feb 2016.
Two tanks with the new Cooper RTX E load tires. 15.2 average since Jan 1, 2019.
