So I'm curious. What is the approximate gas difference in the V6 and V8 4runners in the 4Gen models?

    v6 - 17/19
    v8 - 16/18

these are the listed ratings and very close to actual of what you get but driving style, type of gas and where you live makes a difference in your own personal actual mileage.

bottom line is its just between 1-2 mpg difference in v6 vs v8 with the 2wd, not sure about 4wd

I will say having owned a 2004 v6 and a 2003 v8 I prefer the v8, even with full time 4wd my v8 averages better mpg! My v6 I didn't run premium though and that could be part of the difference, as Premium or 91 up is recommended for both, in my v8 I run 93, and with 285's I average around 17.9 in my daily commute which is pretty much half interstate, half city.

I'm going to 35's in the next few days, with the 3.73's I'm will feel lucky to get 14lol.
