Good morning all! I have a 22 ORP with KDSS. About a year ago I went to an Eibach Stage 1 lift and Dobinsons UCAs. I'm not sure if I'm only just noticing this or if it's just bugging me more lately but in early mornings the front suspension makes a creaking noise. Speed bumps especially. Later in the day, or later in the drive, it goes away so I'm assuming it's not a faulty part. Any ideas? I'm floating the idea of just buying the Stage 2 fronts down the line anyway so maybe I should just expedite that. Thanks everyone!

Do the UCAs have poly bushings? Do they have grease zerks? It might be that you need a light coating of grease on the bushings.

So I still can’t source the issue. Always happens when I first start driving the truck and goes away after about 15 minutes. I can hit the same speed bump 15 minutes apart and the first time it will have a creak and the second time it won’t. Its driving me nuts haha.

catbrown357 asked if you had poly bushings. From past experience with poly bushings they like a silicone based synthetic grease, if you don't have grease fittings, you could use a "grease needle" to get some grease in there.

I have the Eibach stage 1 also with this exact issue. I haven't done much investigation other than spraying some silicone lube on the ball joints to no avail. And i have all rubber joints not poly.

I just turn up the radio.

Before you start buying new parts, make sure it’s not the hood latch. It makes noise just like it’s coming from the suspension whenever the body flexes a little bit

Pop the hood and look for the contact points on the latch side and catch side, where there is shiny metal. Thinly spread a little grease on those areas.

UPDATE: Seems it has been solved. When I installed the UCA's I neglected to put a washer on the inside as well as the outside of each arm (I only had them on the outside). This allowed the arm to move just enough to not only slightly pinch the bushing itself but also to cause the noise. Downside, the old bushings could not be removed and I had to buy all new UCA's. Upside, the new SuperPro UCA's look great and the noise is gone. Hope this helps anyone else to double check their stuff before it gets as bad as mine did. Thanks all!
