    Oh, that makes sense. I wonder why it's only a southern thing. I guess the term up here is "panfish" because they're so delicious!

    Limited out!!! Don’t feel sorry for the fish. When it gets hot they go belly up and sink to the bottom......I’m using Berkley PowerBait with a salmon egg hook...I may break out the fly rod next but it’s very hard to navigate the stream....73CB14A1-75C3-469A-8BDB-556C2B066D7B.jpg

    There not posting stocking info on the state’s website. And gonna slow down the stocking schedule. Here’s my current status on fish/cost.
    License=$60
    Bait=$30
    Fuel=$40
    I’m not adding my fishing pole cause I reuse it every year.
    Trout=67
    Cost per trout=$1.90
    And I get well needed exercise!!!

    Yes Rainbow!! Caught a Brook earlier this season. I haven’t caught a Brown yet this year. It all depends on what the state loads up the stock truck with. They are so fresh they sometimes curl up in the frying pan. If you freeze or buy them from the store, they’re not nearly as good.....

    As I headed to the trout stream this morning not anticipating to catch anything until they restock. I thought to myself I made it this far, one year closer to “nifty” fifty. I caught my limit of trout in under two hours!! I couldn’t ask for a better Bday present!!!1FAB8EE0-7943-4EF6-9DAD-675693E57CEF.jpg

    I’ve lost five pounds of belly eating fish!!! And it’s a great workout, navigating the stream and steep slopes...

    There's guys around here that catch those for a living on the Columbia. I was reading an article not to long ago and the guy who caught the most last year made like 140k. ODFW pays people to catch them because they eat the salmon/steelhead eggs. It's dependent on the size but you can make like 10 bucks a fish!

    Random decision to hit the lake yesterday evening but a little too late to hook up the boat plus Bull Shoals is about 22' high so we grabbed a few rods and hit the bank for a couple of hours before storms rolled in. Got a decent smallmouth on a Jackhammer.

    Recovered my beanie and just landed my first trout for the day. There hitting slow. Water is up and hard to locate them.

    A couple hours later: caught my limit for the day. Took a quick vid of landing one and my phone fell in the stream. A few minutes later I see it sitting on the bottom. Didn’t phase it one bit works fine..................https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z4qfcW-8uiE
