First time Toyota 4Runner owner

Just picked a my first Toyota tonight, a 1998 4Runner SR5 TRD . So I have done a little research, and apparently this is a pretty rare truck? It is a stock TRD package. I have wanted a 4Runner for a while, and this is my first 4 wheel drive truck, so I'm excited to start modding/fixing/playing

 

Not sure yet, hoping to get some ideas here. I do have one issue I need to take care of, there is a slight noise that I was told may be the rear pinon seal, or transfer case. So I need to take care of that first. Second the truck has 183xxx on original supercharger, and original oil, so I looked it up and they say they usually only last 100k before needing to be rebuilt? Either way, I want to try to change oil and see if it is still creating proper boost, if it isn't I was thinking of possibly converting to a turbo set up, but I haven't found any info on anyone elts doing that mod yet so if anyone knows about this let me know

 

Throw up some pics of the suspension for us if you would. I would be interested to see what it came with if it is still stock.

Ok, so upon some further research, (digging through old receipts/papers found in the truck) I founds thisso not stock, but dealer installed new. So now I guess I just need to figure out exactly what was done i.e. (Injectors/exhaust/suspension ect...)

Not sure I guess, I thought all the grey ones were first gen? How can you tell the difference?

 

Is it more square or more rounded on top? I'm on my phone or I would load a picture. Maybe Bob would be so kind to they up some pics for us....

 

I ha e a better idea. You can take it off and I can make sure it's tune correct when I test it on one of my 3rd gens

1st gen super charger. There have been a few guys rebuild them. If you have no docs on that I would get buys on that project bud.
