Just picked a my first Toyota tonight, a 1998 4Runner SR5 TRD :). So I have done a little research, and apparently this is a pretty rare truck? It is a stock TRD package. I have wanted a 4Runner for a while, and this is my first 4 wheel drive truck, so I'm excited to start modding/fixing/playing :) image.jpg

Not sure yet, hoping to get some ideas here. I do have one issue I need to take care of, there is a slight noise that I was told may be the rear pinon seal, or transfer case. So I need to take care of that first. Second the truck has 183xxx on original supercharger, and original oil, so I looked it up and they say they usually only last 100k before needing to be rebuilt? Either way, I want to try to change oil and see if it is still creating proper boost, if it isn't I was thinking of possibly converting to a turbo set up, but I haven't found any info on anyone elts doing that mod yet so if anyone knows about this let me know :)

Throw up some pics of the suspension for us if you would. I would be interested to see what it came with if it is still stock.

Ok, so upon some further research, (digging through old receipts/papers found in the truck) I founds thisimage.jpgso not stock, but dealer installed new. So now I guess I just need to figure out exactly what was done i.e. (Injectors/exhaust/suspension ect...)

Not sure I guess, I thought all the grey ones were first gen? How can you tell the difference?

1st gen super charger. There have been a few guys rebuild them. If you have no docs on that I would get buys on that project bud.
