The problem with many of these chineseium light kits, the controller box is made cheaply and not weatherproof. Most likely something is defective inside, and the solution to contact @4runnerlifestyle for a replacement.

For reference, I bought these LED lightbar DRL/turn signals on eBay for my 2010, but didn't even bother installing them after seeing the poor harness connectors and controller box. Even if they worked upon installation, they wouldn't have lasted a week.

Maybe if the tariffs actually get implemented, we won’t have to worry about these less than perfect lighting systems being available.

There’s a lot of members on here that are way braver than I am. I don’t know anything about wiring and hesitate to add anything electrical to my 4R. I’d love to add a dash cam, but don’t have the nerve. It took months to work up the nerve to install the early 5th gen clock display…

    Oooh look, another mod.....
Dude. Installing a dash cam is one of the easiest mod's to do, especially if it's the FitCam brand. That is a simple plug-n-play setup. Now if it's a Thinkware or another kind that wants you to run wires down to the fusebox and tap into a fuse......

You have to buy from a good company when doing anything electrical. Ebay and Amazon is "questionable" in my opinion. I bought a trailer harness to connect my boat. I just grabbed one from Amazon since it is a simple plug and play connector. Didnt work. There are too many counterfeit low quality items on Amazon and ebay. I now only buy from Rock Auto after reading about counterfeit oil filters being sold on Amazon. I am willing to pay a couple more dollars to ensure the part is legit or I just stick to OEM bought directly from the dealership.

What's there to "wire"? The dash cam cord terminates to a USB or cigarette lighter plug. Just run the cord along the headliner. Pop the passenger side A-pillar trim, and run the cord down the A-pillar into the glovebox (where the power outlets are). Alternatively just run the cord straight down from the dash cam to the glovebox door. I actually do this for portability - I take my dash cam with me on longer trips for use in the rental car.

They'll continue to be available at a 30% higher price... from a combination of tariffs and plummeting US dollar.

Maybe "plug-n-play" for 2020-2024, but searching doesn't unearth anything for a 2019 on the FitCam site.

    I’m an asshole I know
Obviously it goes without saying, it’s most wise to just restrain yourself from mods and aftermarket lighting. I could use your discipline lol

I can laugh at myself. I also have driven for 54 years without a dash cam, I can live without one.

Too many to list & Worth every penny!
Come on Dj, aftermarket lighting isn’t that bad.
You just have to watch what you purchase and research before one wires it up.
Fuses and relays …. and switches if possible.
Safety first on the original circuits when at all possible.
Now, I’m trying to keep mine to a minimum.

Wow, just counted I have 4 added lighting circuits!

No pre-collision system camera in 2019, so nothing for the FitCam to blend into.
