I hear mostly positive things about them. One friend did have a set that wouldn't balance, though.

From what I can tell, the balancing issues are few and far between. Most people think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I've had Wildepeak AT3's in 275 for 20,000 miles. Zero issues. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. I had read about the balancing problems before I bought them. That gave me pause, but there were so many other positive comments. I have no regrets.

And let's be real. The ones with tire problems will scream at the top of their lungs what shitty tires they are. Guys like me, that are happy with 'em, won't say a word unless asked.

I've installed them on three 4runners, 3rd gen Tacoma and now my 100 series Land Cruiser. My favorite tire. Only draw back is the price of them keeps going up. They used to be super cheap.

The reviews all over the place about balancing issues had me concerned as well, but I’ve had mine on for 5k miles without any issues. Traction for me has been great in all conditions, and I’ve had them up in Vail Pass in winter. Mine were made in Japan, so maybe they had better QC than other facilities. Only thing I wish they could do is make them lighter, but I have to think the they are more overbuilt than some of the competition to be as heavy as they are.

The price has gone up quite a bit. I noticed this too.

For everyone, you can catch a discount tire direct flash sale (select weekends & Mondays) it’s shipped straight to your door with about $100 off & no shipping. That’s how I buy all my tires. You can only buy 4, if you add a fifth, it’s normal price & wrecks the overall % off. Make sure discount tire direct not just discount tire. The sales arnt as good on the normal site

Agreed. Ive had them on 2 (2007 & 2011) of my 4runners (2-3 sets each) and had zero issues. On my 2011 i run the pa turnpike a lot running 70-80 mph on long trips and had zero issues. Had them higher speeds following a mustang home and lets just say, no vibrations at that speed either.

Im getting 285/70/17 Falken ATs installed Sunday on my 2022 Trail.

cant wait to ditch the Dudlops.

anyone want to buy them? Only 8000 miles on them.

Got new shoes today. Falken 285/70/17. Had a tiny wheel shimmy only at 60 mph but went away above or below that speed.

I just swapped my stock tires out for Falken Wildpeak 275/70/17 and I LOVE them. Despite most sources saying they wouldn't rub, they absolutely did and I had to both trim and heat mold to get them to stop rubbing. Wildpeak tread is beefier than other tires of the same size, so perhaps another brand of the same size wouldn't have rubbed.

Theyve been fantastic for regular driving, off road, and on wet pavement. I don't notice anything negative in my driving experience to note, nor have I noticed a gas mpg change or noise. The only thing I notice is I have to push the pedal more to get the same power. To note, i'm driving at elevation based around 5000 feet in SLC but drive up to 10k feet frequently. I went back and forth between these and KO2 and am really happy with my decision. They also look so luggy and nice. I'm obsessed.

Put on Wildpeaks AT 285/70/17 this weekend. I was nervous about some rub but so far, its been good. I do have an Eibach spring lift on the Fox shocks. The ride feels better then the stock grapplers. E96414D4-BFC0-459B-90B8-74C6622B3686.jpg

Had Falken Wildpeak AT3W's 285/70/17 on my 3rd gen tacoma; had to get the CMC and 2.5in level to get them to fit. Is this also required for the 5th gen 4R?

The tires are also for sale if anyone is interested.

nope for me. I only did a 2” lift in the front and no trimming. No rubbing either lock to lock.
