Hello all NEWB here. I have an 04 SR5 and have an issue that really has me scratching my head. The problem is that in the summer, after my runner has been sitting out in the heat for a while and i start it and hit the max AC, it literally engages it into 4WH (light comes on and everything). My selector knob si not in the 4WD position and this has happened on several occasions. I do have the typical VSC and ABS light and have had for a while, but I wouldn't think it could be related. Any ideas?

Now this sounds weird....any aftermarket electrical installations like radio or alarm?

I do have an after market stereo that can be quirky at times. Never really connected the two though, so maybe I need to recheck my wiring. Thanks!
