Educate me - fluid changes after off roading

Anytime I have had to do that sort of work.. it behooves you to do that extra little annoying step of taking out the seat.. not only for the space it creates but sometimes a little snack might pop up lol

Or yes you end up fidgeting down there for 5 minutes .. go stretch .. break your back again for 5 mins and rinse and repeat

 

LMAO. EXACTLY! The little rubber/plastic piece was $8.00 on Amazon but took me a good 2+ hours to get it in. I guess it is a very common thing that happens on those. To try and balance the steering column, on my back and get the bolts back in was an absolute nightmare. That was funny you knew what it was. It actually wasnt my car, not a fan of Hyundai/Kia. Was helping a friend of my wife.

 

Every exercise is a back exercise if you do it wrong enough, amirite?

 

I have both the sc2 and scangage3… yeah the sc2 is simple and small, you have to manually input the x gauge commands so it will read extra things like the converter temp, etc. $150-175? I forget

I like the scanguage 3 better because you can really customize it, whatever colors, automatic x gauge scan, 3 pages of customizable parameters you want to watch etc. price $275? I also forget what I paid but it’s around $300 total. It’s worth it’s I keep it in the truck all the time so along with my scan tool

The window mount is nice and in view all the time. But also I don’t have it plugged in all the time. I just use it if I’m taking long trips, or reading fuel trims, etc on the fly.

I also have an autel maxiSYS but that’s for real diag and relearns, bidirectional, etc.

 

Went Bluetooth with a Veepeak OBDCheck scanner and the OBD Fusion app. on my iPhone. Helps during a tranny drain and fill to be wireless while your down below. I forget what temp. the tranny fluid starts to cook at but I know it’s well below the dash light turning on so definitely think that temp. is worth watching.
