Back when I lived in England, when I have my tires (tyres over there) changed, I was told to re-torque the lug nuts after driving a few hundred miles...

    Do you do it ?

Always with new wheels. Sometimes after a tire rotation.

typically once a quarter I'll check them. Usually before a long trip or after some off-roading... That 5 minutes or less could save lives.

If I have a tire shop install or rotate them, or any dealer service, I check the torque right away. Then again after a day or two of driving. Many years ago before I was doing this I lost a lug nut after a dealer tire rotation.

And I always check the lug nuts before a big trip. OCD.

Yes, I check them, retorque if necessary. Especially after a wheel change or rotation.

The tire center I used had me re-torque after 25-50 miles. After installing new wheels and tires.
