Do you consider the manual transfer case of the OR, ORP, and Pro to be a plus or a minus?

Not necessarily. If the shifter is attached directly to the transfer case, it will shake and move with the tranfer case no matter who engineers it.

The Jeep lever may have attached to the linkage with a cable, while the Toyota lever may be attached directly to the transfer case. The fact that your lever didn't shake in the Jeep makes me suspect it was a cable linkage.

The "shake" is actually a good thing, and should actually instill confidence.

O I see, yes the jeep was definitely a linkage system. I assumed they both are mechanical linkage systems.

My mistake, that actually does make feel better about it.

I'll trade my dial for your lever. Wait that didn't sound right,

Enjoy your level and I will enjoy my dials. o_O

My 97' Tacoma was a lever and it vibrated a bit depending on speed/power, but never moved or engaged uncommanded after 21 years and 261k miles.

I get what you're saying. But, I don't think it would. It's just like how a manual transmission shifter moves with the torque of the motor.
