Disabling your TPMS sensors

    I finally figured out the two wires I needed and finally got the light off thank god!

    Boca - I know this was a while ago but was is the '09 the same as my old '08? "pink with a black stripe and black with a reddish brown stripe" ??

    08 4runner here. Pink/black with black/reddish brown!! Not black and white.
    Got rid of the light for good. Also I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but when I started messing with these wires my idle got all screwed up.. after lots of trial and error and Internet research, I learned anytime I disconnect my battery , it runs rough, low idle for 15 minutes or so. Drove it around town and it seemed to relearn where it's idle needs to be. Good luck to anyone else dealing with this. I

    Had same issues with my TPMS.
    After inflating the spare tire to 45psi everything is good, no more warning lights. Don't know if it is same issue

    Then your tpms batteries are still good! This mod is for those with one or more dead batteries that don't want to spend the money for the new batteries. Can be expensive

    Oh, I see. My car is 2008 with 245k miles

    Btw. About 5 -6 years ago my daughter changed tires on her Camry at Walmart. They put new sensors on all four with no additional charge. They said it was included. I take the sensors are not terribly expensive than

    OEM can be expensive, like $80 per tire... aftermarket ones can be very cheap though.
