I have a 2016 4runner SR5 - Standard with keyless entry. Anyway of disabling the chirps when locking and unlocking? Any help would be great.

    Thanks,

Carista Obd-ii adapter and smartphone app. Less than $50 for the device and app unlock. You can modify the chirp volume or turn it off altogether, as well as a few dozen other options.

I reseached this, seems worth it just to turn off the stupid seatbelt chime, annoys me when riding in the hunting land, a pasture or off roading, but i saw you can change some light features, can you make you fogs run any time, with brights or drl with this

I don't think so, but I'll have to check the options later tonight to be sure. I suspect that is hardwired.Pro

The dealership can do this for you also. Turned off my seatbelt chimes and programmed my drive away locks. I'd imagine weather there's a charge would depend on the dealer. Mines free

Got the Carista OBD-2 adapter today. Worked great. Nice to be able to modify that stuff.

Will this Carista OBD-2 adapter work on all 5th gens?? (Mine is a 2010). They will do it at a local dealership but they charge $100. Really hard to pay that much to turn a buzzer off no matter how annoying it is

I had mine at the dealer for a remote starter. Asked them to shut off the chirp and the answer I got was "They can't do it". Mine is a 2016 SR5 Base model. If I'm being honest, I don;t love the dealer and maybe the are wrong.
