    Hi Andres.

The website states (and has for quite some time):

    Shipping:
Emblems will ship shortly after they come back from finish treatment around March 29. Be advised that the shipping carrier will need a few days for delivery.

Please keep in mind that dates mentioned are for reference only, it's normal to be early or late for this process.

I think a few of us are wondering if there is any more updated info, seeing as we are a week beyond the March 29th estimated finish date...just curious...

The man is good for the emblems. Be patient. I have one on my Taco and its worth the wait. A week give or take, maybe a little more. @Andres will get you taken care of soon as he has them back. With the volume alone, I anticipate it will take some time to sort, stuff, address and then ship. The man has a life outside a hood ornament.

Not being impatient. Just wondering if there were any updates since I last checked in a month ago.

I know that Andres is good for the emblems. I have one.

    It’s here! it’s here!
Ok. Now I’m having some issues getting the plastic logo off.
Anyone have any tips or tricks to share?

Do you have a closeup photo from a couple of feet away of where your emblem is attached to the grille? I don't know how the Tacoma and 4Runner vary from each other, but when I replaced my Toyota emblem before with another of Andres' products, I had to take off the upper grille to get to the back of it. Come to think of it, you'll need to do that anyway to attach the Devil Horn emblem. You can't get the screws in there without taking off the upper grille.

Check out this thread from my last installation of Andres' Model T emblem and mid bracket (which isn't needed for the Devil Horns emblem). There are several suggestions for removing the emblem.

I did the emblem on my Taco back in 2017. I was easy compared to this... Im trying to find the parts schematics images in hopes that it will give me some ideas. I had to get in behind the hood latch catch. Remove a shroud. And manipulate some tabs. And there's STILL something holding it in there. I cant get in there enough to see what it is. And getting the grille off... well, I started down that rabbit hole but got stuck as I could not find whatever tab/catch/screw was holding that in place either...

The thing that helped me the most with the last emblem installation was viewing YouTube videos showing the heritage grille installation. When doing that install, the upper grille has to come off, and there are several videos showing how to take it off.

Since this thread is all about these, I have to show you the work of art I got from Andres this time around. I wasn't so much interested in the Devil Horns, per se, but thought a custom Toyota emblem (Devil Horns without the horns ) would be so much better than the chrome plastic emblem. Andres said no problem. The hardest decision was what style and color. I wanted something finished like this, from a photo on the Diaz Fabrication website:

but Andres said he was no longer doing the clear coat finish. So, my choice was shot peened with clear anodizing. It turned out a bit darker than the photo above, but I think it'll look great on my MGM 4R:

    IMG_0016.jpg IMG_0017.jpg
Very close to the MGM color, and not black. Not into the blacked out thing personally.

Thanks Andres! These really are works of art.

I put my emblem on today, and it's quite an adventure. It requires taking off the upper grille, then removing the emblem cowl (without breaking off the 3 little tabs) from the upper grille in order to mount the Diaz Fab emblem. There's no other way to mount it. It's not a simple remove & replace procedure on a 4Runner by any means, and can be very frustrating.

I'd be glad to help. It did not come off easily, either the first time months ago, or yesterday. In the end, a good whack from behind on each end was the ticket. There's several little tabs that have to be pushed down as you are pulling/pushing.

I should have taken some photos yesterday, sorry about that.

Phew! That was a tense moment. But I did get the thing off. Was worried about breaking tabs n shit. Ready to rock now!

Very nice. Did you end up taking off the upper grille?

Yes, I did. That was my hesitation. I wasn't sure what was holding it on at either far side... searched YouTube and watched a number of videos that were doing grille swaps and figured out it was just snapped in... Came out clean, no tab breaks.

In changing out my emblem from the previous version from @Andres, I did a mod that now allows me to remove that emblem cup without removing the upper grille insert. I drilled a small hole in the plastic area behind the grille, and that allows access to that one screw you have to remove. The three tabs that hold that cup on can be accessed to unclip (carefully), and off it comes from the front. You can then change the emblem, and snap that back in place, replace the screw, done.

I'm not quite sure about my anodized Toyota "T" from Diaz...it turned out great as far as the finish, but the color is a bit weird - it's a sort of purplish gray. I may end up painting it myself to get the look I want.

    Hi Andres.

Yes, I went ahead and painted the emblem, and it's been installed for some time. I forgot to post pics of the finished product. My 4R is currently parked where I cannot get any good photos. I'll take some later today and post them up.

I do too. Looks really sharp and matches the emblem overlays I have on.

You're suppose to keep your cursor over the menu to look at the different categories and items.
    What platform are you using?

    I'm on windows.

Try click products on the main page then hover on the left side.

The menus collapse and expand so quickly its a pain to hover on what you want. I'm not interested in anything right now just thought I'd point that out.
