    Purchased Feb 27, 2016

Took a bit of time but talked the wife into a 4Runner for the family vehicle. She had a 2011 Jeep Wranger that was just a bit to small for our growing family. Our 2nd son is due in April 2016 so we needed to make the decision soon. She really wanted leather seats but we didn't want a sun roof so we opted for an SR5 and added Katzkin heated leather seats that will be added on by the dealership and covered under warranty.

I am planning to add some small amounts of pink to it as that is what she really wants. The first thing will be to add pink vinyl to the front and rear Toyota emblem like i did with her Jeep emblem.

Here was her jeep and the vinyl i did to it.

A few days after driving her 4Runner to and from work she texted me this:
"The only thing so far that i don't like about my 4Runner is that it is too short. Needs a lift."

I have done alot of research in the past and found a great company that specializes in and sells lift kits for only Toyota vehicles. The company is Toytec (toyteclifts.com). They are great to talk to, friendly and are very knowledgeable about what they sell. I decided before we got the 4Runner that we would go with a Toytec lift (if a lift is what my wife wanted of course). I currently have the 3" Ultimate Bilstein lift kit on my 2012 Tundra.

Well she wants to lift it so I started discussions with Toytec......................... and guess what?????

They happen to have a set of pink coils that were powder coated for a customer that pulled out of the purchase. Needless to say my wife loves them so I have put my name on them to save them until I can get down there to purchase.

They are installed on the BOSS suspension lift kit which is the best on the market with custom valving for the 4Runner. All she really needs is a spacer lift of bilstein 5100 lift but I'm not going to argue with getting her a set of custom pink Coilovers that she will love.

Lol. I wouldn't put it past her to call them up, have them custom powder coat them pink and tell them to tell me they happen to have them from a failed purchase.

Look at all the options we have for the Katzkins. Have heard a lot of good things about them. Hoping they are as good as they say. Paid the dealership a lot to install.

The coilovers are something else .. I plan to powdercoat my coils whenever I rebuild my coilovers.

I am trying to convince the wife we need a 4runner also, she is set on the highlander :goingcrazy:

My wife has a 2016 Highlander. She didn't want the 4R as she wanted more interior seating.

    Wait.

The highlander is roomier inside than the 4runner?

I thought the 4runner was larger..

It's fine for me. It's what she wanted that mattered most. I was pushing her towards a 4R, but she wanted the 3rd row seat.

My wife wanted boxier so she went with the 4 runner. They have a 3rd row seat if you want it but the seats are very small with no leg room.
The highlander does have the third row and is roomier however it is lower to the ground.

Decided to go with black with a light gray inset in the middle and light gray stitching.

I got $19,750 for the jeep trade in and the dealership has posted it for sale at $26,299. If they sale it for that they made a quick $6,549.

Crazy that they do that however it would become a certified used truck with 100,000 mile warranty. So essentially you are paying the extra for the warranty.

^^^^ Yea the pink wrap didn't work out as well as i hoped. Only had that one piece and failed to get it perfect. Will try again when i get more film. Or will try other methods. Plastidip pink has been tried and it looks melon, not pink.
