Hello, I'm new to the 4runner forum. (I have an old Tercel and a Tacoma, but haven't had any trouble with the 4runner till now. )

    98 4runner, 3.4L, auto, rwd.

There is a lot of coolant leaking out of a spot on the passenger side, at the back of the engine compartment. It's odd because there are no hoses nearby, just a small nipple, I figure it must be a part of the heating system, but maybe the whole hose fell off?

    Thanks!

Here's a photo, it only leaks while running and just after, it doesn't seem to be continual.

heater core probably leaking do not add stop leak or anything to radiator.

Hi Thanks, definitely suspect heater core. Bypassing that part of the system stopped the leak, so... have until winter to figure out what's next.
