FYI: This morning I got a little wild with a black magic marker measuring for a molle bracket fab - ended up marking about an inch of my headliner. First thing in my head was try a gray marker to blot out the black - couldn't find it so, out of mild desperation, I squirted some brake cleaner on an old white tee shirt and low & behold it removed the ink leaving no trace. With this new wisdom I cleaned up another small area of dirty greasy hand prints - cleaned up beautifully.

Nice! I might have to try this the next time I make a mess in mine. :)

Rubbing alcohol (or hand sanitizer with alcohol) removes "permanent marker" as well.

Ya my neighbor showed me that trick on his Tundra. He was spraying brake cleaner on the seats to clean them.:)

Brake cleaner cleans everything and then some sometimes.

Thanks for the info. Little tricks like these are good to know. Maybe get a "Neat Little Trick" thread pinned somewhere.

Armor-All takes wax off of rubber and plastic trim. I discovered this by accident. With some elbow grease, WD-40 removes sticker goo.

Just don't use brakeclean on a Marlin Model 60. It will melt the soft plastic trigger housing and make the trigger pull awful. New trigger assemblies are impossible to find.

You may have guessed by how specific I was that this happened to me haha
