I went with steel.... Because steel is stronger.... And thats the smarter choice for something that could be put through a lot of stress and have very hard direct impacts....

Not really, im just cheap, and steel was $80 cheaper :D

Oh were we talking about what we got ourselves? A Victory4x4 roof rack and transmission skid. Also steel for the skid, because I'm cheap.

It's kinda for the 4runner, as it will live in the console:D

I love bright flashlights. I highly recommend that anyone interested in quality flashlights should check out Fenix.

I also got new headlight bulbs, and a console organizer.:)

My skids will have to wait a bit. I'm looking at Budbuilt. They're pricey, but look pretty beefy.

Fenix makes a good flashlight. Also, they are a good deal when you look @ output vs others & the cost of some of the competition. I still use Nebo's mostly, oh & my Amazon headlight that I wouldn't trade for anything! It is rechargeable. I need one for each vehicle!
Seriously, people may think $100 is a lot for a flashlight & all I can say is go to a uniform supply store (they usually sell police gear also) & just test an expensive flashlight. They are worth every penny!

Yup! I got my first USB rechargeable light from them about 4 years ago, and it's been excellent in every way. This one is even brighter, and the run-time is outstanding.

Nice light, it's my daily at work. Bright enough to light a dark room or dims enough to work close up. Also have a bigger brother can be used for search and rescue. 3000 lumen lights better than most car headlights

I was looking at one of their higher end models, but I decided that I would get more use out of the little one.:D

The TK was on my short list also. I might pick one up eventually.

Honestly I wouldn't have bought the big one if I did my homework. It's to bright for any use unless your out in the middle of no where

I've never considered wheels and other car stuff as a gift. Of course, we can consider it as a gift if your friend is passionate about cars and machinery. But in another case, it would just be a bad hint that he should upgrade his car. I would not like such a gift. As a gift, I prefer something related to taste, drinking, or hobbies. I often gave cool decanters to friends on baliandboo.com, which can decorate any kitchen or living room interior. You shouldn't give your friends parts for cars or other equipment, because it's bad form. I assume that you don't give your wife shower gel or wrinkle cream since she may be offended by this
