I installed it a couple of months ago. It was an easy install and I use it daily.

I had it on my 2020 4Runner ORP. I removed it before I traded and reinstalled it on my 2022 4Runner ORP. I use mine all the time and I’ve never had a problem. The hardest part of the install was getting the wires through the rubber boot at the firewall. That was a little bit of a PITA but otherwise, the install was super easy.

Does it require tapping into existing OEM wiring?

No. It is completely plug & play.

I’m pretty interested in this too, I really want to use the original switch on the stalk but it’s not clear if the current DIY mod applies to newer years. :/

I read through multiple threads on the Brite Box Anytime mod, and did not see confirmation by anyone who had installed one whether the dash light still goes on when the fog lights are on, either with the BB switch on, or with the stalk switch with the BB switch off. Anyone able to answer that?

The light in the instrument cluster only illuminates when the headlights are on and the switch on the stalk is in the on position. The Brite Box switch illuminates when that switch is turned on, but the indication in the instrument cluster does not.

Thank you. So when the Brite Box switch is not on, the fog light stalk switch and dash light function as usual...

One follow up question, as I am getting more interested in this product - when the Brite Box switch is off, do the fog lights only go on with the low beams as usual using the stalk switch, or do they work with the high beams also?

Everything operates normally. The BB switch is completely independent of the stock lighting switches.

Trail4R.com has an article about the installation of the system. I would highly recommend looking at that first. The author suggests a minor change to the BB installation instructions that I believe is a very good idea. BB has you connect positive to the battery, this article recommends an add-a-circuit into an ignition controlled circuit in the fuse box so that you can't forget to turn the fog lights off when the truck is turned off.

Thank you. Good idea on the power connection. I did see some mention of a ground connection on some of the writeups, but don't see a separate ground wire mentioned on the Brite Box site.

Yeah, that blew my mind. There is no external ground. The only thing I can come up with to explain that is that it gets it's ground through the fog light connector.

It all depends on which pwr supply you use. Same W/Rator lights. I have mine tapped into DRL's. In morning , dusk or rain I have DRL's Raptor & I select Fog lights.

    Here's when I did the 2 light's install
Got Raptor lights in, wired to tail lights & Brite box Anytime Fog lights. There's a "Cap" on the boot at firewall that Main harness & Hood release run through. I looked on the inside & saw that it was a tube, so I cut the "Cap" off & ran the single pwr wire for Raptor lights through, Then eventually I had the 3 pins from Pwr supply harness to get through there. I ran 0.041 safety wire from cabin to eng compartment, electric taped 3 pins into a tapered "bullet" re bent safety wire back & pulled it through!! When I tried it No lights, The fuse holder had receptacles off center. I spiral wrapped wires for both lights & Pwr supply for Brite Box, Tywrapped to Batt hold bracket. The other feature vs the "Antman" Mod I did to my 2018 is the OEM Fog Light switch on Turn Signal still works & If you use that the indicator on the cluster display shows those lights are on, W/Brite Box it does Not show they are on.
