So I am really freaking out here.

I was on the list and got the MESO puddle light switch kit. Ordered the 2020+ kit designed for cars with factory puddles. The connectors match up and everything, popped right in.

    But the switch does nothing.

    Houston, we have a problem.

The truck is now throwing a PCS malfunciton error, VSC off error, head unit is acting funky, auto windows don't work and the key fob is not connecting.

Still runs and drives ok however.

    WTF!!

Removed the kit, disconnected the battery for 5 min. No joy.

Now Im trying to leave it disconnected for 30 minutes to see if it will reset.

If that doesn't work I will be going to the dealer :(

    Anybody else?

Not an expert here, but I would say AT LEAST 30 minutes. An hour or two won't hurt anything. While it's disconnected, look for related fuses and check them with an ohmmeter.

That was it!!! I went though and checked them all, nice that these new ultra-micro fuses have test points so I don't have to pull them. Turns out ECU-MAIN-B in the underhood fuse box blew out. Luckily there was a spare as this is my first car with these tiny ones and I don't have an extras in my tool chest.

Replaced it, hooked up the battery, did the 2 starts and it took the head unit a few minutes to reboot but everythig works!!! Yay no dealer trip and lecture from the techs about modding!

    Thank you!!

    Sweet! Glad that worked!

I see quite a few aftermarket electrics causing problems on this forum. Enough to cause me to stay away from them. My own dealings with a remote start were enough.

Someone on the forum solved your problem.

You know that you owe them.

Pictures. Plus, what do you think about the mod?

Nothing worth sharing in a photo and I cant really say anything about the mod since I removed it (seeing as it tried to kill my ECU) :(

I do owe daddykool a (virtual) beer however:cheers:

I sent in a help request to MESO support line for some guidance on why this kit blew the ECU fuse and asking about a refund.

    Dissapointly its been Radio silence.
