    work in progress
    So i had a 2nd gen tacoma
Built it - then Totaled it
    Now i have a 2003 v8 limited 4runner
This is i found her in the lot
    [IMG]
Don't worry i did not pay that price
Got her for 10k + ttr
This is her maiden trip to beach
    [IMG]
    I have a lift planned
Was supposed to go in this past saturday
    That did not happen
    Oh well

    First mods were
A rear door open button, i put it here
    [IMG]
    And tapped into wires here
    [IMG]
I then decided i needed more usb plugs and a cig outlet on dash
    [IMG]
I made these and the others hot at all times using this method
    [IMG]
This is the bit i used for the holes
    [IMG]
Also decided to put in a new head-unit
    Woot lovin bluetooth
    [IMG]
I had to trim the f#^* out of the trim piece to get her to open and close
    [IMG]
I then needed some nee rear brake pads
    [IMG]
I then did an oil change
    [IMG]
And installed a fram sure drain
    [IMG]
Also swapped the plugs out for piece of mind
    [IMG]
Decided the headlights needs a little love
    [IMG]
    Used some plastic polish
    [IMG]
Then i got some mighty mounts
[IMG] and some slee off road hi lift brackets
    [IMG]
I then got racks for my racks
    [IMG]
I needed smaller racks to make room for other things as in jack, shovel, fishing poles, kayak, ect
These kayak racks are cheap and worked well for me in the past. So i decided to get a set for this truck
I replaced all hardware with ss as i live in a costal environment
    [IMG]
10 lbs crap in a 1 lb roof rack
    [IMG]
    Rack in use
    [IMG]
    Then came this mod
    [IMG]
For this a flowmaster 50 series
I love the sound and drone is manageable
    [IMG]
Had a shop weld her in

    Then came this mod
    [IMG]
    Dam short poles
    [IMG]
I then installed some rain-guards on widows and sunroof

CV Replacement and Diff Needle Bearing Swap
    i used cvj axles
    part # 9808
they are about $100 + shipping and core charges
    FRONT DIFF.-----OIL SEAL DRIVER SIDE - TOYO# 90311-47013, --NATIONAL # 710596
    FRONT DIFF.-----OIL SEAL PASS. SIDE - TOYO # 90311-47012, -- NATIONAL # 710595, -- BECK ARNLEY # 0523749

dealer has a different part # for the 4 runners 9031150045 / 90311a0011 but are the same
    [IMG]
Replacing needle bearing, shove some cellophane in there so nothing can fall in
    [IMG]
    New seal
    [IMG]
This works great as a seal driver
    [IMG]
And i used a harbor freight seal driver kit for driver side seal and solid spacer install

    Lca Bushing Pic's and Info

to do a complete rebuild your stock 4th gen lower control arms you will need new bushings and alignment cams
    i used all moog parts
    front bushings - part # k200772
    rear bushing - part # k200773
    alignment cams - part #k100128
    lower BJ - part # k500017

then used this method for removing old bushings....
"not my idea" credit goes to someone who posted a video of their removal process
    http://youtu.be/xTT6uNEcoCc
basically use a bottle jack to apply some pressure to bushing while heating it with a torch
i used map gas.....this worked well....so much easier then cutting them out....

so here is a little step by step.....i am probably forgetting some steps but here it is
jack up vehicle, place on jack stands, chock rear wheels....
    remove tires
    remove lower shock mount bolt
    mark alignment cams position
remove the 2 bolts holding the lca to spindle
remove the the bolts for the lca / alignment cams
*note the fronts will have a sleeve the rears are just a bolt...
if frozen then you must cut them out.....i used a grinder and sawzall
this is a great time to replace your lower ball joints.....
    installation is reverse of removal,
use a bj press kit to re install the new bushings
or some big sockets and some threaded rod
torq to spec ....enjoy more beer
This is how they look when one cuts them out
    [IMG]
    Used a hack saw
    [IMG]
    This is will bushing removed
    [IMG]
This is how far new bushing should be able to go in without use of a press
    [IMG]
This is how i installed the new bushing the rest of way
    [IMG]
Pics of moog bushings and bolt and cams before install

    Another bushing install pic
