    Sweet! Thanks a bunch Bassguy. Hope you can keep us updated on your experience with them. I'll be interested to hear about winter driving when you have some more of that.

    In the meantime, how do they seem in the wet? And on the highway? As I've mentioned in some other posts, one of my few complaints about my 4R is the amount of steering correction needed at highway speeds. I'm guessing that some of this is due to the nature of the vehicle (high wind resistance and relatively soft/long travel suspension) but I've wondered if there are great tires out there that would also track better than the stock Duelers on my Limited. I def plan to upgrade these tires once I start driving more!

    KDSS, Baja Sport amber fogs, PRO Black wheels, BFG KO2's
    KO2s are great tires. Especially if you put them in harms way, the E Rated KO2s will survive and get you where you want to go. Been running them on multiple vehicles for many years.

    Per the original poster, I'm in my third set of those BFG-A/T tires with my 2010 FJ Cruiser, and will use the same tire on my 2021 4R/ORP in March.
    They seem to be a good combination on/off road tire. Rotating the tires every 10,000 miles I always get 60,000 miles out of them. Never an issue with them in my case. And they look good !! LOL.
    By the way, the OP's photo of his rig appears to show these tires on stock type rims with the white letters on the tires outward. Looks really good.
    Hmmmm....maybe I'll go this route versus the TRD wheels (?) Thanks for that photo. I plan on ordering the same dark grey.

    Thanks for follow up on this. Mine is all stock. OEM tires, suspension etc. I've wondered about the caster (and/or camber and or toe?) but it hasn't been measured.

    No worries man.

    It sounds like you could reduce the wandering with a higher caster number. If you're stock, you should ask them to adjust your caster to the higher end of spec (somewhere between +3.5 - 3.9 degrees). That will make it track straighter and tighten up the steering wheel a bit.

    When they start that I pull the weights and put in beads. I’ve had great luck on my ‘97 F-350 with a lb of beads in each running Mud Grapplers.

    EDIT: when they don’t balance great anymore.

    Westcott lift / Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT’s / S&B CAI/ Sprint Booster / DDS3 Max PODS / TRD Exhaust
    Ran multiple sets of KO2’s for years and years (C-Load 285/70/17) and overall I really liked the look, performance and versatility of these tires. The had always been my go-to-tire.

    My only real complaint was driving in wet conditions. Tires didn’t always seem to grip well braking in wet conditions, occasionally slipped out when cornering and hydroplaning in standing water situations.

    I live in the PNW where it rains all the time and I commute about 75 miles per day on highways with grooves, that are poorly lit that are constantly under construction.

    When I replaced my tires a few months ago I did a ton of research and ended up switching to Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT’s - so far these are the best tires I’ve ever owned and I e not had any wet driving issues.

    The only downside thus far is the extra weight resulting in 1 less mpg.

    Just my 2-cents having been a lifelong BFG loyalist who was open minded, and nervous, about making a switch…
