    Hello!

I am the proud new owner of a 23 TRD ORP and am looking to swap wheels with someone local in Austin if possible.

I am totally new to Toyota so I am not sure what these wheels are yet but they look like the 17inch TRD wheels just in a 20. I prefer the 17s and would be happy to swap these with someone that has 17 even if your tires are worn. These have around 11k miles on them.

    Lmk if anyone is interested!

They do look great! I have never been off-road with anything bigger than an 18 and would just like more sidewall for airing down

Unless you plan to really go offroading/rock crawling where you have to air down, those should be fine.

It'll help you trade them if you know the brand, width and offset of the wheel. Also the tire brand, size and tread depth.

I do plan on off-roading it and needing to air down ;). Also, the dealer has agreed to just swap the wheels with a car they have on the lot so I am all set. Pumped to be joining the 4runner community!

Yessir! I just got a job in SF and my fiance and I are moving there in a few weeks. I had a really hard time finding a place where the defender would fit and didn't want to street park it, deal with premium high gas cost in CA, and higher service costs so made the tough decision to sell it. We probably won't be needing a car much anyway so feels like a good move to downsize and simplify (looking forward to regular gas and cheaper maint). Can't wait to get the 4runner up to Tahoe and along big sur though!

i've never seen those wheels. I guess they are aftermarket made to look like the TRD Pro wheels but only in 20" instead of 17"?

Good call on swapping them ..... I think they look really out of place based on your picture.

Ya I agree..... It was a mess. I told the sales associate I didn't want them and asked if it was lifted. He said that it wasn't lifted and that I had to keep them. Then the wheels were rubbing terribly (keep in mind the car is CPO). So, I called them and said how is a car you sold CPO rubbing the wheels on the front bumper and the manager said "O I was told you wanted them, you can bring the car back and well swap them out". I also then measured to the bottom of the fenders and there was a two inch lift on the car so they are removing all the spacers and putting 17s on it so its factory (and actually CPO). LOL

I hate dealers, they scare the hell out of me. Case in point, today I brought my wife's 3 month old $75k Silverado into the Chevy dealer for it's first oil change (free service). After waiting 2 hours (even with an appointment) the service manager came out to get me....he brought me into the service bay to show me that the tech regrettably slammed the driver's door into the lift post and scratched the paint down to bare metal. Now the whole door needs to be painted. Thanks. Thanks alot for your free service.

Good luck with the new 4R. I think you're better off with no lift and the stock wheels. However, I'd suggest you inspect the vehicle thoroughly..... shock towers, bushings, springs, bolts, etc. And make sure the vehicle is "level", sits evenly, etc.

Ya, they told me without any leveling kit that the car will point down a little bit in the front which seemed to be true based on the others on the lot. My dad also has a 200 series LC and it does the same thing. So, I am expecting to see that when they drop it back off to me tomorrow.

But I agree, all very frustrating and def fishy... Not sure why I am the one on the lot with a measure tape determining what is lifted after buying a 50k car.....

Most trucks will come with rake. Definitely 4runners. It's so they level when hitched to something or heavy load in the rear. So if you're is level there's a lift on it. And only the limited came with 20s that had extremely positive offset.and those wheels look totally different from the limited wheels.

You just can't make this up..... When I was there I measured the rear height with a tape measure, the way a tape measure should be used from the ground to the fender.... I asked them to send me a picture verifying the height after and they sent this. Lost for words

Looks really sharp. I love the white letter KO2’s on a white truck. Just like my old Tundra Pro that I miss dearly.

What's the general thoughts on these predator steps? They seem beefy but I'm guessing they don't act as any type of slider?

I can’t imagine they would do what you want as a slider even if you removed the steps.
Mine came with some, I had them removed before I took possession and sold them to someone at the dealership!

With these predator steps, you better not hang them anywhere or hit them anywhere. They are only attached to the body and not to the frame. At most, they protect your car from other people's car doors.
    They are definitely not rocksliders.
I have removed mine, i think the damage to the body may be greater with than without (in normal daily driving).

Cool, sounds like I'll be swapping them out with something from CBI or C4. Thanks!
