Anyone into watches?

My wife gave me this watch as a birthday gift a couple of months ago. Not really a watch guy until now. Now I want to start a collection. LOL.

The dial on the 556i is the blackest dial I have ever owned or seen. It's a great watch to dress up or down.

 

Here’s the watch I’m thinking about getting, the case back numbers are very close. Not sure of the mm.

 

It’s possible the bezel is white gold.

 

Got it years ago at the original list price.
If I had known the future I would have bought six. Five to sit on and sell last year. The net profit would have paid for my 4R! Oh well. But it was, and still is my dream watch. Got a couple other Rolys and a few Breitlings that I daily wear.

I was heavily invested in Tag (F1 gulf, F1 cal. 5 black, SEL, aqua racer in green) but had a bad experience with the factory on a service and follow through, sold em all.

the bracelet wears more comfortably and flexible than most thin nylon straps, pure butter. It is what made the aqua racer bracelet and overall bulk rather unappealing after purchase. The watch is like driving a 911, great weight distribution and while it does nothing the best, it is world class in every catergory.

Usually don't wear watches but scarce Seiko SNA139 RAF military style has become favorite for travel, light weight 39mm titanium case and band, screw down crown, great lume, alarm function, 200M waterproof, quartz dependable.

Well, it’s smaller than my black dial. Prob the smallest men’s Rolex I’ve seen. The bezel is for sure a different type metal. It is very comfortable and so light you don’t know your wearing it.

 

It’s from Florida, I imagine a captain up on the “fly bridge” watching his mates battle in huge fish from the ocean!

This case is only 30mm I think it’s a ladies watch but I will still rock it. Bands fits loose.

Does feel good on the wrist. The band is in perfect shape. I replaced a band pin with my parts.

 

Kind of shrinks you a little.

 

Recently got new bands for most of the watches but I’ve been wearing only the Garmin for the last 3 months or so. I guess if I didn’t have all these Expeditions I could have bought one nice watch. But I do dig these, and they work fine. One day I’ll get something cool though.

I almost bought a NICE two-tone Submariner for $10k in Jamaica from Diamonds International.
They also handed me a pair of solitaire Diamond earrings that were $200k no tax “Crown Of Light” cut like 90 facets.

 

I bought this about a year ago and absolutely love it. I have quite a few watches. Mainly G shocks, a few different Casio's and a Suunto. I think the Garmin is my favorite tho.

 

I love mine. I actually got it (wife bought for Xmas gift, I picked it out lol) to pair with my Garmin Alpha 100 and tt15 mini. On the compass screen on the Alpha it will show your heading plus another showing direction of your dog and its distance relative to you. The Instinct pairs with it and shows the same thing so it’s a nice little extra convenience to not have to pull up the handheld for the same data with a quick glance at your wrist. Now I wear it all the time.
