Thought I'd share. Just picked this up last night. 05 4Runner Sport Edition. It has the 4.0.

No leaks. This 4.0 is a real beast. Glad I didn't get the 4.7. More than enough power. Front end suspension and steering is super tight and smooth. Transmission shifts like butter.

To say the least, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I deserved this. Here are a few pre-wash pics.

Very nice. Did you keep the Tacoma?

You certainly got your money's worth on that one.

Wish you may miles with your new ride. I had a '04 sport in the same color that I just loved.

Appreciate the comments. I know...I digress. These 4Runners are a dime a dozen.

Could be the photo but hood looks super dull. Wondering if previous owner repainted it before the sell, and also how much did you pay? Was it dealer or private buy?

Asking since I am contemplating selling my 4th gen, and it's got a serious need to have the hood repainted due to crappy factory paintjob.

Sorry for delay. Yeah...good is full. Roof is mildly oxidized. Going to touch up rock chips on hood for now and keep everything protected. Eventually I'm getting them repeated. It's about 800 bucks if the quote was accurate.

I have 2005 with 170,000 miles from dealer new. Never had a CEL code, OEM water pump and exhaust system. Color same as yours.

My advice: don't lift it. leave it like it is, especially if it runs great.

I went through starters. OEM failed at 4 years. Finally found one from Amazon with a lifetime warranty

I change my own conventional oil every 5000 miles. Did the differential one time at 100,000 miles with Valvoline. will repeat differential next 50,000 miles.

Japanese Toyota builds the most amazing cars and trucks. Watch Scotty Kilmer. He is 50 years a professional mechanic and has three in his driveway - all Toyota.
