Looking at getting another set of LED pod lights. My plan is to move the pods I have now to ditch light brackets and the put Amber pods in the factory fog light spot on my third gen. Falls and winter's here are very foggy and I'm usually driving to and from work when it's dark out. I've never owned Amber lights or used them in the fog. Was wondering if they make that much of a difference or if it would be more beneficial to run another set of white pods instead? Any insight is appreciated.

I would run amber, cuts through the fog better.

In the research I've been doing I've noticed some people saying the amount of output lost by running Amber isn't worth it. I guess a lot would depend on the quality of the light.

It would make a difference in the quality of the light, but you get less reflection off the fog with amber. Works in heavy dust also.

For what it's worth... You know how sometimes after a rain the road ahead looks black and seems as if your headlights aren't even on? With amber colored light, this effect is very much reduced.

    Stock...for now...
I ran amber colored fogs in my last truck. I liked them for fog as well as snow. You could always go with a white led and get amber covers. That way you could try both.

Pulled the trigger on some Amber 5" led lights off Amazon. They're supposedly Phillips bulbs and weren't all that expensive. Going to run them on my excursion and if I like them I will get another set for the third gen. If I don't like them will prolly go the rigid with cover route like guhner mentioned.
