Just wondering what pressures any of you use when trail riding and if you have any issues with the tire coming off the rim as a result?

In the soft stuff i like to be around 20 psi. hard pack with rocks around 25 psi. Just makes for a little smoother ride, I’m running 285/70/17 MT’s, i try not to do a lot of mud but have been known to blast through every now and then.

Sorry. Running no Bead locks on BFG KO2s. No real rocks, just mud and sugar sand usually. Just getting into trail riding and didn't know what others are doing.since my tires are new I didn't want to run the risk of ruining them with the wrong pressures on a trail. Hitting a pretty wet one this weekend.

23-24 psi for mixed trails. E-load tires.

If just needing to air down for comfort on a rough gravel road or forest roads; 22-25psi.
If there might be snow, mud, or soft hill climbs involved, 12-15psi.
If on the sand dunes, might go closer to 10 psi (less risk of breaking a bead in deep soft sand).
If you have beadlocks and rock crawling is involved, 8-10psi.

275/70/17m KO2's on stock Off road rims, I run at 15-18 on rocky trails, no issues. I run 15 on sand. Sidewalls get warm, that is alot of rubber moving around on the sidewall.

I air down to 18 psi, I only go lower if I am in sand.

I've gone as low as 8psi in sandy areas. I was in a 2wd truck at the time and needed as much help as I could get. No issues. :mudding:
