91 gear selector problem

    91 4runner.
    As stated.. My 91 automatic gear selector lever is having issues.

    It's difficult to get it in park.... Takes a lot of force... And very tough to get into the drive gears..... Tons of pulling from park down hard.

    Any ideas?

    Remove rear side bumpers, deck plate mod, relocate rear window switch to dash, removed rear wiper
    In the short term you can use the shift release button in front of your shifter. Mine was getting difficult also, until I disabled the shift module inside. I've had no problems since. Simply unplug the wires going from the silver box.
