Any suggestions for this 4 Runner. I will add new 1 inch taller tires on stock rims and possibly add 1 1/4 wheel spacers. the goal is improve Stock off road capability and drivability ,without getting to far from OEM specs. for durability.

if you liked the way oem suspension rode then you could replace it with kyb or monroe parts found pretty easily, and add spacers if all you wanted was a little height and durability. other options for full suspension lift kits can be found at places like wheelers offroad (@YotaDan )

Thank you,I was thinking Bilstein gas shocks and possibly a slightly more progressive springs. What do you mean spacers, and where.? this 4 runner is going to be used in Baja, keeping a low center of gravity for runs down the peninsula highway, but having slightly higher ground clearance for off road adventures

the option you are thinking of would be a very good solution, spacers for 2nd generation 4runners like the one you have aren't as easy to come by, but are essentially blocks that sit on top of the front struts and on top of the rear springs to increase ride height with stock suspension components
