I'm a a new member but not new to 4Runners or Toyota's. We've had an 02 4runner that we've owned and driven for 15 years. I also have an 08 Tacoma that I've owned since new for the last 12!

Its time to upgrade the 02 4Runner. We are looking at the 5th gens and want to buy used. Any advice on things to be aware of? Right now things i'm aware of that i'm taking into consideration are the

-13->14 redesign of front bumper, headlights/taillights/gauges
-potential paint issues with white and blizzard pearl

Is there any type of buyers guide with general advice? I searched and saw some hits in the 3rd and 4th gen forums but not in the 5th.

Thank you, from what i can tell there really aren't many things to be aware of! Just the diff in whether you want the 14 and up or the 10-13. Looks like on the 4wd's there some additional scheduled maintenance with diff fluids etc.
