Maybe, the only time I check my mileage is when we are on a road trip and I'm hypermilling because my wife wanted to take her Rav4 Hybrid and she tells me we could be getting 42 instead of 18. Her car is ok, but the 4runner is a lot better.

    We do the same.

My wife has a Subaru Outback that gets 10 more mpg's but we always take the 4runner on trips because it's way more comfortable in every respect.

I think they are going to have to do an engine change to the LC if they plan on keeping it in the line up. That thing gets such bad reviews and bad mpgs for a 4 cylinder hybrid.

A 3 mpg gain isn’t bad but the cost of admission to get there makes it not worthwhile.

A 15.7% increase in fuel efficiency versus what is the increase in price in various trim levels?

I’d guess about $10k increase in price of the old ORP 2024 to 2025? I can buy a lot of gas for $10,000 for a V6 if needed.

The new Pro is $13k more than a 24 Pro. I can't justify the difference, especially since it's a turbo 4cyl.

I highly doubt it. Why would they offer an engine with less power and worse fuel economy to satisfy a small percentage of potential buyers?

That 4 cylinder had only 157 hp, could only tow 2000#, and barely got better fuel economy than the V6. Nobody wanted it.

I do wonder what they're going to do with it. It seems like a lot of folks would even rather have a non-hybrid with the turbo 4 to get some cargo space back.

A small percentage of potential buyers? Do you mean the millions of buyers that bought the previous generations of 4runners?

Do you think that the majority of buyers would prefer a less powerful engine that gets worse gas mileage?
