    These are GE turbines so they have a very long ladder straight up 80 meters. The only ones I have climbed with an elevator are the Vestas V90s but all others have ladders. There are 3 platforms on the way up where you can take breathers but most guys use a climb assist device that attaches to your front D ring on your harness and grabs a cable that helps pull you up, makes a huge difference! I have free climbed w/o climb assist, not fun, especially when you have to do 2-3 in one day. It was not by choice, forgot to charge my device night before.

    Thanks for sharing. I was in awe going a by a wind farm one day, and discovered the blade speed at the tip can be 120 mph to 180+ mph, depending on windspeed.

    You are exactly correct, very deceiving, they appear to be moving much slower but can also rotate higher than 120. Pretty cool sound when you stand at the base.

    Thank you mac! I love the way it looks. The tires are Toyo Open Country AT3 10-ply, got them after 3,000 miles on the stock Bridgestones.
