I noticed the same with our company vehicle, an Escape with the ecoboost motor. Worst HVAC system I've ever seen, except maybe a VW bug.

LOL, Dad had a bug when I was a kid and he bought some kind of auxiliary heater for mom. Lucky no one got hurt but the thing burned to the ground from that heater. Mom said good riddance lol

The 4Runner has no such problem! Fastest-heating vehicle I've ever owned. I live in a place that gets 100" of snow per year, and it's just great how fast the 4R starts blowing warm air.

i mean it’s still a small ass motor despite the power it puts out. Trying to heat a truck.

I had a '71 Bug, and the heater in the winter comprised of a little propane heater in the back seat, put chains on the rear when there was lots of snow, the damn thing would go just about anywhere! As far as the Bronco, it would be nice to be able to buy a vehicle that would 'fit' everybody, all the time. I'm not sure it exists! after-all we're all different. The Bronco seems like it has tons of features that 'fit' nobody. For instance; how many people on just this one post say "I'll never take off the doors and roof." A small (I'm guessing) percentage, might do this. The EcoBoost on the other hand, strikes again! The Navigator my daughter owns...$900 in fuel delivery problems! It's pretty hard to do preventative maintenance on a fuel system other than additives and air filters. This may be an isolated incident, I know of some Eco-Boosts that have a couple hundred thousand miles on them, not a hiccup, but then there is that 'other group'.....

The Ford dealership where I bought our Shelby GT500 has a brand new Bronco, in dark gray. I actually like it quite a bit. Definitely reminds me of a Range Rover in the squared-off overall appearance. If Ford can ever get the parts to build them, they will sell a ton of them.

The two that this dealership has are the base model. I looked up the details and each are powered by an Ecoboost 3-cylinder engine with an 8-speed tranny. Yuck!

Same! 3" lift, stock offset, 255/80-17s. Keep it light and simple. I think stock appearance with functional upgrades underneath is under rated.

Haha, I was about to say the same thing. I think the full-sized Bronco looks okay at some trim levels, but this Sport does nothing for me. The whole back end — with the mismatched B, C, and D pillars, and the way the modernish glassy rear wraparound window effect clashes with the retro-ish grill — makes no sense to me. I’m surprised at the praise it seems to be getting for the most part.

I've noticed a few people on various forums (vehicle and firearm) have seen the Bronco Sport at a dealer and are confusing it with the Bronco. They make comments that it seems to be nothing more than smaller Explorer and don't understand the hype.

I try and explain the differences and they are two completely different vehicles, just like the Bronco and Bronco II in the 90's. I don't ever remember anyone confusing the Bronco with the Bronco II back in the day.

I just bought an exercise bike from a woman that has a new Bronco Sport. My wife fell in love with it since it's squared off like her 2008 Escape. The windshield is less raked than many new cross-overs and the rear window flips open like the older Escapes. Nice flat roof with real roof rails so way better for carrying canoes than most CUV's. I think it's just a nicely styled Escape. I looked at prices and if you want the 2.0 turbo then the prices seem too high to me although I have no issue with a 3-cyl turbo if it's well-executed and reliable.

I'd like to drive a new Bronco in base trim with the manual trans.

That is the Bronco Sport, not the full size Bronco.
The Bronco proper is the one Ford is having supply chain issues with, not the sport.

That's because back in the day there wasn't the internet with people talking about shit they knew nothing about.
Back then you had to listen to dip shit Uncle Bob tell the entire group what's up. Now that's the internet.
    Watch out for the Bob's.

Well the 4Runner and Jeep could very well take a hit in sales now.
Ultra 4 and 4600 reveal. EDIT: it won't let me embed at the exact time because it's still streaming. It's around 2.5 hrs in to the live stream right now.

The truck on the right is one of 3 built and ready to race this weekend in the Ultra 4 KOH with unlimited drive train rules. They sounded like Big Blocks.
The 4600 class on the left by definition of the rules has to be mostly stock. So with Factory support they will be formidable. Ironically it's not ready to race yet lol. No mention of what power train it will run. If they run one of their turbos, we'll see how reliable they are in racing conditions.
But, the fact remains, if Ford is serious about this 4600, it could open up some expensive, but cool mods in the next few years.
I can't wait for the Raptor fire sale.......

Yeah I’m a fan of the bronco wanted one since OJ did the deed in the blanco bronco
But the sport is no bronco is more burro created by Ford to man up the escape to be more off roader then anyone else in the class my problem with it is the way it looks great parts but not put well together as a whole

Awesome that Ford will put the proper engine back in the Raptor. Just don't put a 5.8 in them. I want the rarity of just having the Trinity in the '13/14 GT500!

I heard them say it was portal hubs. It's an IFS on that Ultra 4 car.
EDIT: Can't find the segment where they mentioned the portal hubs, so I could be wrong on that.

    No. Snip it below:

Heavy-duty front portal hubs from 74 Weld are mounted to Triton Engineering control arms with heavy-duty Howe hydraulic steering rack with cooler. A factory Dana™ AdvanTEK e-locking differential with RCV custom halfshafts deliver front wheel torque. In back, Triton Engineering rear links support a Dynatrac ProRock XD60® axle with an ARB 35-spline Air Locker® and Spidertrax Spider 9™ axle shafts and hubs. Ford Performance supplies modified front and rear modular steel bumpers and a Warn® ZEON® winch, while RIGID® LED off-road lights improve night vision. A custom roll cage by Geiser Brothers and first-ever FIA off-road-certified race shells from Recaro® are added inside.

Oh, neat! I didn't know they had hubs, too. Seems like a kickass mod for someone trying to make a rock crawler rig!
