I have a new-ish 2019 4Runner TRD-Offroad. Currently it is stock. First items up for change will be badging blacked out. I'm swapping the Offroad rims for TRDs. I'm stuck between Blk or the Bronze. The new Toy will get a roof rack and a small lift. This is now my daily driver but I love to hit trails and do some backcountry camping in VA, TN and NC.

I've owned a 2008 FJ Cruiser, a '89 Toyota pickup, at work we use Land Cruisers and used Surfs and Hiluxs overseas.

Former Army guy at Ft. Campbell, 3-187INF.

    Nice rig!
    Congratulations & welcome from Nebraska.
FYI the Off Road wheels protect the valve stem a bit better. Not sure how far you go.
    Thanks for your service!

What are you doing with your stock roof rack when you replace it?

In the process of blacking out my entire rig. Started with the black trd pro wheels and an all black heritage grill from a third-party. Next I'm going to remove the SR5 logos and get black overlays for the rear emblem and 4runner spelled out. Last will be to replace the silver roof rack with a black one. I've seen tutorials on spray painting "plasti-dip" on the silver roof rack but something about that just doesn't feel right to me. Would love to buy the OEM black rack, but the price is pretty ridiculous for a cosmetic change.

I think they’re made in Japan, which is all good as well.

Dustin at FN Wheels would know better than I, but I believe all of their wheels are made in Taiwan.

The wheels you're probably thinking of are made by Rays, called the Volk Racing TE37 (a very famous design that the FN Six Shooters emulate). These are forged in Japan and are extremely light and strong, but also very expensive, approaching $1K per wheel.

    Good looking 4Runner.

I had a Hilux as a company car in Africa. I liked it!
