Here is a view out of the RTT

Post up photos of your RTT's and any mods that you have done. Mine is a tepui, no mods done to the tent but I've ordered the 6ft awning for this summer. I wanted to do led strips for lighting but I just used some cheap led hanging lights from harbor freight. I did put some non slip rubber for padding where the ladder meets the RTT when storing to cut down on the denting.

Now you're just being mean and hurtful. You didn't deliver me one yesterday any way! Now lift that thing and get an RTT.

That's very nice. Great taste on mods too. Well laid out and not too over the tip at all, everything functions in it. I like that part.

Is the roof strong enough to support a RTT with two people? With all that rear glass it looks a little weak. Just wondering because I am in the market for a vehicle to convert to Overland Exploration, and the 4Runner is at the top of my list. Any input is welcomed

What gen are you looking at? Plenty of people with 3rd/4th/5th gen's with RTT and 2 people in them on the roof.

I'm hoping to find a nice 3rd gen 4Runner with a locker. Plan on doing a lot of off-road exploring in wilderness areas

Looking into purchasing a Tepui RTT. I have a 2015 T4R. Has anyone mounted the tent to the stock cross bars? The stock bars I bought state "135lbs" max weight. They are straight from the manufacturer so their not knock offs or anything, but i'm still Not sure. Also not sure if that is dynamic, or static weight and if it means per bar? or together?
    THANKS!

That's dynamic weight. Static will be way stronger but I'd be careful. I didn't trust it so I bought a front runner rack

Don't use the stock crossbars. If you look at them you'll notice the end brackets are plastic. They're not meant for more than holding a ski rack or a bike . You can use the side rails + Yakima or Thule bars. The Thule Crossroads 450 feet and 58" bars work great. THat's what I have my tent on, no issues

Anyone has any idea what the front bumper for 2017 4R trd pro would be look like? Youtube showed it is pretty much no changed from 2016, but another website showed vertical bumpers.

My '86 Runner with CVT RTT. Great product. I have been nothing but pleased with my RTT purchase. The only mod I did to the tent was line the interior with an emergency blanket to help capture heat.

I suggest posting that question in a thread that has relevance to the topic..

Unless you post a picture related to the thread and casually ask the question, maybe you can get away with it..

    Just a little advice
