New to the forum and looking forward to being here for a long time! But, please be patient if I have some amateurish questions! The wife has decided that we will replace our current SUV with a 4Runner. She wants a new Limited model. I like them very much and since she is in charge that is what we will likely wind up with. My only complaint is the same I had with my current Explorer (that we are getting rid of) is the huge expanse of textured rubber/plastic on the passenger side of the dash.

Has anyone done anything to pad that like the highlander? Just a very minimal amount of padding and covered with leather similar in color to the seat would be nice. Thank you very much and I appreciate your thoughts!
