First, let me introduce myself. I am a semi retired Certified Mechanic of 25 plus years. I live in West Texas in a small town of 600+ people and I am North of Abilene. I own my own shop and I have my own 4X4 test track. Its not very big, but is adequate for some mudding. I just traded a 2012 Tacoma TRD offroad, silver 4 door with 27,000 miles for my newest ride, an 05 4runner sport, black, V8 with 179,000 miles on the clock. Before that I owned a 97 4runner SR5 with 268,000 miles. Sold that to a friend so I see it all the time. I modify everything I own, and already have installed FJ springs and Bilstein 5100 shocks. Detailed the black monster as well. Just did a timing belt, pulleys, tensioner, hoses, and belts. New pink toyota coolant. Replaced the headlights and front turn signals. Took most of the emblems off. I thought I wanted a Tacoma, don't get me wrong, it was nice, I am just a 4runner person. Just finished a 97 Toyota Pickup,5 speed 4x4, 5 inch lift(purchased it that way) had some problems and needed lots of TLC. It is my wife's Toy and I can't ever get her out of it now. I will post pics of that project later if anyone is interested . I hope to help out from time to time on this forum.
Nice to meet everyone.... Here is a pic of my newest truck.

My 05 4runner had the xreas system on it. I enjoyed it for a couple weeks before doing the FJ springs and shocks. What a shame, it was like driving a WRX for a couple weeks. Right front and left rear shocks leaking and high mileage made me change it out ultimately.
